Apart from this change in the main app icon, the company has also rolled out a new icon for the notifications of the app. It is now similar as the main colorful triangle icon, but has a sign of tick mark attached with it. As the upgrade is being introduced in a staged manner, it will take some time to show up on each and every Android smartphone. Lately, the company rolled out an update on server side for its Play Store. The upgrade gives a new UI for the ‘My Apps’ section of the Google Play Store, which is intended to make management of app easier on Android smartphones.

After the upgrade, consumers will now be able to view three tabs—Installed, Updates, and Library. The tab for app subscription, which was previously present, has now been detached. Below the ‘Updates’ tab, users will see updates obtainable for the apps that are already installed. Under the ‘Installed’ tab, users will be able to see the apps that are at present installed in their Android handsets.

Users will also be allowed to position the apps that are installed in various orders such as Last Updated, Alphabetical, Size, and Last Used. They can also discover out apps that are using up the most space, those that need to be updated, and those that are unused for long time.

Last but not the least, below the ‘Library’ tab, users will be able to view the apps that are connected to their Gmail account but need to be downloaded yet on the smartphone. Users can also download those apps and view them, if needed. Apart from all this, the dimension of the icons of the app has been reduced in order to give a cleaner look to the UI.

Well, get ready to see the all new icon of the Play Store in coming years.
