The most awaited SUV Jeep Compass is all set to launch in August in India. But before the official launch, the images of the brochure of Compass were leaked through online media that revealed its detailed variant wise features that weren’t disclosed by the company.
As per the leaked Images, the Jeep Compass will be introduced in India with five different variants; these variants are bifurcated as Longitude, Longitude (O), Sport, Limited and Limited (O). However, the Longitude and Longitude (O) will be presented only with a diesel engine. Rest of the variants will come in both diesel as well as in petrol engine. The all-new SUV will be offered with some elegant colors which include Brilliant Black, Hydro Blue, Vocal White, Exotica Red, and Minimal Grey.
The Sports variant that is an entry level model comes with halogen headlamps, a 5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, electrically adjustable foldable ORVMs, incandescent taillights, traction control, 16-inch steel wheels, electric parking brake, 4 disc brakes, electronic stability control (ESC), front airbags, and ABS with EBD.
Coming on to the Longitude trim, it comes with some added features such as rear parking sensors, front & rear fog lamps, 17-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels, push button start, and black–beige combination dual tone interiors. While its higher version will have inbuilt features such as dual zone climate control, projector headlamps, black roof rails, and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system integrated with a high-end connectivity of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Focusing on the top two models; Limited and Limited (O) of the Jeep Compass, Both the trims will be equipped with the above-mentioned features. Limited will have some premium features such as Ski-Grey interiors, rear camera, leather-wrapped seats, LED tail lamps, door scuff plates, and AWD transmission option mated with Select Terrain system. On the other hand, Limited (O) comes with the dual-tone paint scheme, HID headlamps, gloss black treatment on the roof and all the above-mentioned features. The company also said that the models with 4X4 transmission will soon get an upgrade in the form of front and curtain airbags.
Post launch the Jeep Compass is projected to give a fair competition to similar segment vehicles such as VW Tiguan and Hyundai Tucson.
