Bhansali Facing Trouble From The Brahmin Organization

An organization from the Rajput community–Sri Rajput Karni Sena has already opposed the release of the film. The main reason according to them is misrepresentation of the historical facts. Several troubles have come up ever since the shooting of the film has begun.

The crew members of the film were misbehaved by the activists of the Sri Rajput Karni Sena. This is not all, the mirrors in the Padmini Mahal in the Chittorgarh Fort was damaged. On the 3 November, the Karni Sena called for a bandh in the Chittorgarh.

The existence of Rani Padmini or also known as Padmavati has always been a topic of debate. As the first historical mention about the queen of Chittorgarh was done by Malik Muhammad Jayasi, a Sufi poet in his fictional work.

Several organizations are offended with the supposed romance between Alauddin Khilji and Rani Padmavati. These roles are played by Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone respectively. But, Bhansali and his team have always clarified it that there are no love scene or any dream sequence between Rani Padmavati and Alauddin Khilji in the film. But all these statements have proved unsuccessful. The BJP party has sought a stay in the film release. They are in plans to write to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), Election Commission, and the Central Government to stop the release of the film. Several leaders are in opposition to the release of the film. They do not just want the film release to be postponed but they do not want the film to be released.

In a mall in Gujarat, a rangoli was designed inspired by the Rani Padmavati which was deliberately ruined by the people. Deepika Padukone had reacted to this vandalism by writing an angry tweet to the Information and Broadcasting minister Smriti Irani to which the Surat police had arrested the people who were responsible.
